Done!

A full draft, anyway. I've had a marathon 8 days in which I wrote more than 10,000 words. Please refer to my picometer, to the right. 100% done. Now the real work begins, whipping my novel into the best shape it can be. Sending it to bootcamp, perhaps. I think I might take the weekend off. Here's my reward:

Congrats Rachael, and of course this means for all of us, that we're a bit closer to reading it now.

Here's another good way for you to celebrate on this lovely sunny Saturday morning (6 June) in Chch: get a copy of today's Press, and read Sarah Quigley's 'Writer's Eye' in the book section, D11. It is absolutely superb - her best form of late. And if you're sensible like me, you'll read it with a fresh espresso in one hand, a warm scone with quince jelly in the other :)

That is epic. You could turn out a novel in 70 or 80 days at that rate. :-)

Congrats.

Ha ha Rod. That would discount all the months I need to THINK about the book to get me to the point of being able to churn out those words.

Hooray, congratulations! That's great news.

Wow, well done. I've just come back to blogland on a 5 week break from class and this is an inspiration. I need to do a lot of whipping into shape too. :)
